honestly i doubt you’d see that much improvement… i’m using the 1005ha with 1 gb right now and it does everything i need it to do… but then again i’m not running huge programs (why would you on a tiny little lappy?)
if you’re into gaming… get a console. if you want better performance than you should get either a desktop or a bulky laptop… but i think it would be a waste to put it into an eee pc.

1 GB is the recommended amount for Windows XP.
However if you plan to stick windows 7 on it, things will significantly improve if you add in another gb of RAM.
Generally 1 GB is enough for most people but if you want to multitask more apps at once it helps to have a little extra.
And if I’m not mistaken, the Asus 1005HA uses 667mhz DDR2 RAM.
It doesn’t matter what brand of SODIMMS you use, as long as it is clocked at 667mhz DDR.
